Role Description
A Data Scientist is a professional who works with data and in many case takes on tasks relating to data analysis. It employs statistical and machine learning algorithms to create visualization and studies that are meaningful for business and stakeholders. This involves a blend of mathematics, statistics, and computer science skills. They also need to understand business strategies, so they can provide insights that are relevant and beneficial for the company. Briefly put, a Data Scientist is someone who uses data and algorithms to extract valuable insights and make data-driven decisions.
Technical Assessment
The technical assessment involves several stages. Usually, there's a screening test where the knowledge of machine learning and statistics are evaluated. Next, there's a data science test, where the understanding of concepts like regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, and other mathematical topics are assessed, along with the capacity to provide working and efficient data science oriented implementation. Finally, a data science problem may be given along with a dataset to build a model to evaluate the efficiency of creating a real-world business solution.
